simply put, no school is perfect but St Aug is working closely with parents through surveys and meetings to address issues. Teachers and staff really work hard getting to know their students and offer personalized attention at lunch or after school if needed. The core academic classes are challenging(some classes kids take in 7th grade, I hadn't taken until 9th grade). The Brotherhood and pride of being a Purple Knight is still alive. Are their some kids that don't seem to belong at St Aug..maybe but the Purple Knight staff will help them transform or transfer out. St Aug is the first mostly African American Catholic High School in Louisiana and believe it or not, their are a lot of people who would like nothing more than to see the doors at this institution close forever. There is no other school like St Aug and there will never be another.
