The Missoula Community School (MCS), located in the heart of Missoula, is an independent early childhood school with a focus on progressive education.
MCS offers creative and nurturing programs for children ages 2-6 during the school year, ages 2-8 during the summer.
We offer a welcoming and collaborative environment for parents and families.
MCS strives to provide children with developmentally appropriate opportunities to participate in an interdependent and interactive community.
Classrooms weave in mindfulness based approaches to nurture growth in focus, self-control, self-regulation and empathy.
Home to the original Superheroes of Kindness, classrooms also weave in a focus on kindness and compassion.
Just as we celebrate each child as unique and special, MCS celebrates Missoula as a unique and special place.
We rely on the many natural and cultural resources of our extended community as an integral part of our curriculum.
